Scheduling
Chronic Illness & Recurring Pain
If you're navigating an ongoing period of stress, illness, change, or uncertainty, you may find it helpful to schedule sessions with some consistency. How often you choose to receive Reiki is entirely up to you and can be adjusted according to what feels supportive and sustainable.
If you're unsure what frequency feels right, I'm happy to talk with you about the options.
Relaxation & Self Care
For Relaxation, General Vitality, or for Self-Love/Self-Care, please schedule sessions as feels best for you! There is no threshold on how often or how much, it is entirely up to what resonates and feels best for you and your body.
Personal Patterns & Life Transitions
Reiki can offer a quiet space for reflection and curiosity, whether you're moving through a transition period or exploring patterns in your life that you'd like to understand more deeply and perhaps make changes to. If you have any questions about how Reiki can help in this regard please reach out to me.
Distance Reiki
You may schedule a Distance, or Remote, Reiki Session for all the same reasons as an In-Person Session. You will want to be in a peaceful and quiet environment where you will not be disturbed for the duration of your appointment. I also recommend putting away or silencing any electronics. Once your session is complete you may go about your day! This is a wonderful option when far from the studio, traveling, or simply enjoying the peace and confort of your own space.
What Will I Experience?
Gentle Touch
In-person Reiki Sessions are done on a comfortable massage table while you are fully clothed.
Only gentle touch is used to apply Reiki to the body. Each session is different and there is no right or wrong way to experience Reiki. Distance Reiki occurs from the comfort of your home and in both cases, most clients report feelings of deep relaxation, release, and rejuvenation. You may even fall asleep!
Reflection
You will have a little time before and after your In-Person session to share your feelings, intentions, or current experience with me. Often, simply allowing the process to unfold without judgement is a wonderful way to be present and relax during your session.
You may experience a sense of clarity, emotional release, or sensations of warmth. If you are working through any stress or chronic issues, keeping a journal after sessions can be a helpful way to reflect on any recurring thoughts or feelings that arise through your experience.
Integration
You may experience any number of things while receiving Reiki. All of them are perfect exactly as they come to you. If you are navigating chronic pain or health issues please remember that being gentle, curious, and compassionate with yourself is one of best ways to integrate and flow through your experience. I am also available and here to support you should you have any questions!
You may notice that the sense of relaxation and reflection created during a session continues to inform your experience well after it has ended.
Distance Reiki
How Does it Work?
Distance Reiki offers the same Reiki practice as an in-person session, with the added ease of receiving from the comfort of your own home. Reiki is not dependent on physical proximity, allowing a session to take place whether we are in the same room or thousands of miles apart.
For your Distance Reiki session, simply find a comfortable, quiet place where you can relax—lying down, sitting, or resting in whatever position feels best for you. From there, I guide the session remotely while you receive Reiki in the comfort of your own space.
You don't need to do anything special, and you don't need to know how to “receive” Reiki. Simply allow yourself to rest and be present. Some people experience sensations such as warmth, tingling, energy movement, or deep relaxation, while others notice little more than a sense of quiet and ease. Every session is different, and there is no right or wrong way to experience it.
Distance Reiki can be especially helpful when you're traveling, unable to visit in person, have limited mobility, or when home simply feels like the best place to rest and reconnect with yourself.
